A Nonlinear Model for Nano-Electro Mechanical Mass Sensing Signals Processing

Due to their physical properties, nanomechanical sensors (NEMS) can achieve mass measurements in the mega- gigadalton range, which is hardly obtained with conventional mass-spectrometers. However, NEMS signals are subject noise, causing a loss of resolution and thus emphasizing need noise control. We propose denoising model that relies on total variation formulation, deals different models (particularly colored noise) affecting NEMS. The also takes into account physics NEMS, such as non-linear coupling between individual performance proposed tested simulated data parameters chosen similar true experimental conditions. results confirm interest our mass-resolution increase over 20% compared methods used literature.
