Projective reconstruction from line correspondences
The paper gives a practical rapid algorithm for doing projective reconstruction of a scene consisting of a set of lines seen in three or more images with uncalibrated cameras. The algorithm is evaluated on real and ideal data to determine its performance in the presence of varying degrees of noise. By carefully consideration of sources of error, it is possible to get accurate reconstruction wit...
متن کاملHeights on the Finite Projective Line
Define the height function h(a) = min{k + (ka mod p) : k = 1, 2, . . . , p − 1} for a ∈ {0, 1, . . . , p − 1.} It is proved that the height has peaks at p, (p+1)/2, and (p+c)/3, that these peaks occur at a = [p/3], (p−3)/2, (p− 1)/2, [2p/3], p − 3, p− 2, and p − 1, and that h(a) ≤ p/3 for all other values of a. 1. Heights on finite projective spaces Let p be an odd prime and let Fp = Z/pZ and F...
متن کاملCovariance Systems on the Projective Line .
We study the positive-operator-valued measures on the projective real line covariant with respect to the projective group, assuming that the energy is a positive operator. This problem is similar to the more complicated problem of finding the positive-operator-valued measures on the compactified Minkowski space-time covariant with respect to the conformal group. It also describes a time-of-arri...
متن کاملOn linear sets on a projective line
Linear sets generalise the concept of subgeometries in a projective space. They have many applications in finite geometry. In this paper we address two problems for linear sets: the equivalence problem and the intersection problem. We consider linear sets as quotient geometries and determine the exact conditions for two linear sets to be equivalent. This is then used to determine in which cases...
متن کاملLine Percolation in Finite Projective Planes
We study combinatorial parameters of a recently introduced bootstrap percolation problem in finite projective planes. We present sharp results on the size of the minimum percolating sets and the maximal non-percolating sets. Additional results on the minimal and maximal percolation time as well as on the critical probability in the projective plane are also presented.
