Assessing Ecological Quality Based on Remote Sensing Images in Wugong Mountain

This study takes multitemporal Landsat images as data source to explore the changes of Fractional Vegetation Cover (FVC) and ecological quality (EQ) Wugong Mountain (WGM). The regression model obtained from MODIS NDVI was used correct temporal difference normalized vegetation index (NDVI) in 2019, Remote Sensing based Ecological Index (RSEI) calculated assess change FVC EQ WGM. Results showed that, past 25 yr, mean value has increased 0.795 1994 0.890 which consequently improved 0.746 0.773 respectively. relationship among topographic factors, analyzed by using elevation, slope, aspect. effect factor on WGM order aspect, elevation. RSEI first then decreased with increment elevation slope. In detail, favorable terrain area an 500–1,400 m a slope 8°–35°. semi-sunny sunny slopes were higher than that shady slopes. unfavorable meadow greater 1,700 m. work highlights importance can provide scientific decision-making for sustainability WGM, coordinate development environment protection economic construction.
