Cervical metastasis masquerading as Kimura disease in a patient with nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Aim: To highlight the challenges involved in diagnosis and management of synchronous tumours. A head neck lesion brings attending physician into a quandary, as there is no gold standard for managing such patients. Failure to respond treatment should provoke physicians considering other possible diagnoses, often secondary may be hidden culprit. Case report: Herein, we present case cervical mass: Kimura disease nasopharyngeal carcinoma 48-year-old woman. She was initially treated based on fine-needle aspiration cytology evidence, later found out have malignancy fossa Rosenmüller. steroid led repeated examination, which resulted carcinoma. The patient with concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Conclusion: disease, rare benign tumour, successfully steroids. Persistent swelling coupled failure alert repeat assessment, improper leads severe complications.
