Confirmation bias and methodology in social science: an editorial

While science is presumably objective, scholars are humans, with subjective biases. Those biases can lead to distortions in how they develop and use scientific theory apply their research methodologies. The numerous ways which confirmation bias may influence attempts accept or reject the null hypothesis discussed, implications for research, teaching, public policy development.
