Development in Fuzzy Logic-Based Rapid Visual Screening Method for Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of Buildings

In order to prevent possible loss of life and property, existing building stocks need be assessed before an impending earthquake. Beyond the examination large stocks, rapid evaluation methods are required because even one utilizing detailed vulnerability assessment is computationally expensive. Rapid visual screening (RVS) used screen classify buildings in earthquake-prone zones prior or after a catastrophic Buildings using RVS procedures that take into consideration distinctive features (such as irregularity, construction year, quality, soil type) each building, which considered separately. Substantially, studies have been presented enhance conventional terms truly identifying safety levels by computer algorithms machine learning, fuzzy logic, neural networks). This study outlines background research was conducted establish parameters for development logic-based soft (S-RVS) method alternative methods. this investigation, rules, membership functions, transformation values, defuzzification were established examining data 40 unreinforced masonries (URM) acquired consequence 2019 Albania earthquake construct S-RVS method.
