Abstract Aim The aim of this study is to review the surgeon’s compliance and efficacy nasogastric decompression in management small bowel obstruction. Method This a retrospective 6 months from 1st January 2020 30th June 2020. Results 73 patients were managed for SBO during period. Adhesions (43.8%) was identified as most common cause obstruction followed by hernias (27.4%). 51 (70%) had planned on admission, although there history vomiting 85% at admission. Forty two (58%) decompression. Majority (71%) these NG inserted within 24 hours, only 2 it Of 44 conservatively their SBO, 19 Two died admission (both with palliative intent).
