Experimental and Analytical Studies for the Size Effect on the Axial Strength of High-Strength Concrete Walls with Various Fire-Damaged Areas

Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect fire-damaged areas associated with wall width on axial strength reinforced concrete (RC) walls. Toward that goal, Finite Element (FE) models RC walls in real scale are generated various widths (600, 1500, and 3000) mm number heated surfaces such as half-surface, single-surface double-surfaces. For analyses, experiments used obtain temperature distributions inside depending areas, validate FE models. analytical results show increases linearly width, except ratios force showed slightly off from average for case half surface. Using data obtained current previous studies, regression analysis conducted estimate reduction walls, considering influencing parameters, strength, height. As a conclusion, multiple linear formulations regressions analyses able parameters size, area estimations good agreements collected analyses.
