Indonesian EFL Pre-Service Teachers’ Challenges and Solutions in Distance Learning Context

Since the Covid-19 phenomenon until present, distance learning has become a common method. This method makes participation in activity easier and more superficial for students, as can be completed anywhere via online platforms devices such laptops smartphones. However, many students still face obstacles when through this mode, which necessitates development of solutions. While research on challenges solutions from perspective general been conducted, little conducted Indonesian EFL pre-service teachers. study, thus aimed to examine encountered by 10 teachers who were invited participants study purposive sampling technique. The results show that four major learning, namely: network, platform, instruction interaction, boredom. As they must engage activities, implement associated difficulties. are finding location with good stable internet connection, utilizing Wi-Fi, preparing backup data, self-teaching or consulting peers master application's functionality, asking instructors groups individually, being self-motivated. suggests government, educators, parents assist them.
