Repairing 3D Models Obtained From Range Sensors

چکیده
This paper presents a method to restore 3D models created from range sensors. The approach recovers the information that is lost during scanning process, usually due inaccessible zones on object (occluded areas and crevices). raw incomplete data are first projected onto grid identify be repaired. Our algorithm calculates suitable projection plane for each area defined restores 2D image. Finally, inverse transformation carried out, new merged with initial mesh model, providing completely restored surface. has been tested database containing wide variety of models, yielding excellent results. experimental section shows our works large diversity non-sensed difficult-to-access provides precise restorations.
