Simultaneous downstream and upstream output-feedback stabilization of cascaded freeway traffic

چکیده
In this paper, we develop boundary output feedback control laws for traffic flow on two cascaded freeway segments connected by a junction. The macroscopic dynamics are governed the Aw–Rascle–Zhang (ARZ) model in which subsystems of second-order nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) describe evolution density and velocity each segment. Due to change road access at junction, different equilibria considered segments. To suppress stop-and-go oscillations roads, consider ramp metering that regulates rate entering from on-ramp mainline freeway. Different designs proposed such stabilization is realized with either located middle junction or outlet only measurements velocity. objective simultaneously stabilize upstream downstream given spatially-uniform constant steady-state. distinct actuation locations motivate our design delay-robust full state laws. based PDE backstepping methodology guarantee exponential stability under-actuated network systems hyperbolic PDEs. Collocated observers construct controllers. Numerical simulations performed validate designs. Simultaneous stabilization via static output feedback and state feedback
In this paper, the simultaneous stabilization problem is considered using the matrix inequality approach. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for simultaneous stabilizability of r strictly proper multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) plants via static output feedback and state feedback are obtained in the form of coupled ARI’s. It is shown that any such stabilizing feedback gain is the solution ...
متن کاملStatic Output-Feedback Simultaneous Stabilization of Interval Time-Delay Systems
This paper addresses the problem of simultaneous static output-feedback stabilization of a collection of interval time-delay systems. It is shown that this problem can be converted into a matrix measure assignment problem. Sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the robust stability for considered systems are derived in term of the matrix measures of the system matrices. By using matrix inequali...
متن کاملOutput-feedback stochastic nonlinear stabilization
We present the rst result on global output-feedback stabilization (in probability) for stochastic nonlinear continuous-time systems. The class of systems that we consider is a stochastic counterpart of the broadest class of deterministic systems for which globally stabilizing controllers are currently available. Our controllers are \inverse optimal" and possess an innnite gain margin. A reader ...
متن کاملStrong stabilization via state and output feedback
The concept of “strong stability” of LTI systems has been introduced in a recent paper [KHP2]. This is a stronger notion of stability compared to alternative definitions (e.g. stability in the sense of Lyapunov, asymptotic stability), which allows the analysis and design of control systems with no overshooting response in the phase-space for arbitrary initial conditions. Here, after a brief rev...
متن کاملOutput feedback stabilization of Boolean control networks
In the paper output feedback control of Boolean control networks (BCNs) is investigated. First, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a time-invariant output feedback (TIOF) law, stabilizing the BCN to some equilibrium point, are given, and constructive algorithms to test the existence of such a feedback law are proposed. Two sufficient conditions for the existence of a stabi...
