چکیده

Abstract We present high spatial resolution (?0.?4, 2.2 kpc) observations of the CO(6?5), CO(7?6), and [C i ] 369 ? m lines dust continuum emission from interstellar medium (ISM) in host galaxy quasar J0305?3150 at z = 6.6. These, together with archival ii 158 data a comparable resolution, enable studies distribution kinematics between ISM different phases. When comparing radial profiles CO, , continuum, we find that CO exhibit similar distributions, both which are less extended than indicating tracing same gas component, while ]158 is more one. In addition, derive /CO, /far-infrared (FIR), CO/FIR, S 98.7 GHz / 258.1 ratios. decreasing ratio radius, possibly decrease optical depth increasing radius. also detect some companion galaxies previously discovered field around J0305?3150. Through line-to-line line-to-FIR ratios, no significant differences its galaxies.

M , OF MOLECULAR GAS IN THE HOST GALAXY OF THE z p 5 . 77 SDSS QUASAR

We have detected emission by the CO(5–4) and (6–5) rotational transitions at from the z p 5.7722 0.0006 host galaxy of the SDSS quasar J0927 2001 using the Plateau de Bure Interferometer. The peak line flux density for the CO(5–4) line is mJy, with a line FWHM p 610 110 km s . The implied molecular gas 1 0.72 0.09 mass is M . We also detect the 90 GHz continuum at mJy, consistent with a 10 (1.6...

Spatially - resolved dust properties of the GRB 980425 host galaxy

Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) have been proposed as a tool for studying star formation in the Universe, so it is crucial to investigate whether their host galaxies and immediate environments are in any way special compared with other star-forming galaxies. Here we present spatially resolved maps of dust emission of the host galaxy of the closest known GRB 980425 at z = 0.0085 using our new high-resol...

A SENSITIVE SEARCH FOR [N ii]205μm EMISSION IN A z = 6.4 QUASAR HOST GALAXY

We present a sensitive search for the P1 → P0 ground-state fine structure line at 205 μm of ionized nitrogen ([N ii]205μm) in one of the highest-redshift quasars (J1148+5251 at z = 6.42) using the IRAM 30 m telescope. The line is not detected at a (3σ ) depth of 0.47 Jy km s−1, corresponding to a [N ii]205μm luminosity limit of L[N ii] < 4.0×108 L and a L[N ii]/LFIR ratio of < 2×10−5. In parall...

A Molecular Einstein Ring at Z=4.12: Imaging the Dynamics of a Quasar Host Galaxy through a Cosmic Lens

We present high-resolution (0.3) Very Large Array (VLA) imaging of the molecular gas in the host galaxy of the high redshift quasar PSS J2322+1944 (z = 4.12). These observations confirm that the molecular gas (CO) in the host galaxy of this quasar is lensed into a full Einstein ring, and reveal the internal dynamics of the molecular gas in this system. The ring has a diameter of ∼1.5′′, and thu...

High - excitation CO in a quasar host galaxy at z = 6 . 42 ⋆

We report the detection of high excitation CO emission from the most distant quasar currently known, SDSS J114816.64+525150.3 (hereafter J1148+5251), at a redshift z = 6.419. The CO (J =6→5) and (J =7→6) lines were detected using the IRAM Plateau de Bure interferometer, showing a width of ≈ 280 kms. An upper flux limit for the CO (J =1→0) line was obtained from observations with the Effelsberg ...
