چکیده

terials, operated in a pressure-driven mode, plotted as a function of inverse temperature. This Rgure is intended to give some appreciation of the Suxes that are attainable; however, they are not normalized to a given partial pressure gradient or thickness of membrane, and thus the Suxes are not directly comparable. Taking a value of between 10 and 100 L m 2 min 1 as the level of oxygen Sux needed for practical applications, it can be seen that the cobalt-containing single-phase materials give appreciable oxygen Suxes above about 9003C. It is interesting to note on this Rgure that the dual-phase material, fabricated from (Bi2O3)0.75 (Y2O3)0.25}Ag (35v/v), approaches the lower bound of the practical Suxes at temperatures of 8003C. It is not sensible to put data for electrical driven COGs on the same Rgure, given the restrictions mentioned above, however, some comparable Rgures are interesting. An equivalent Sux of 15.8 L m 2 min 1 is readily achievable with planar COG stack based on zirconia and operating at 10003C. Similar performance has been reported for a system based on a CGO-operating temperature of 8003C.

Analysis of Poly-beta-Hydroxybutyrate in Rhizobium japonicum Bacteroids by Ion-Exclusion High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography and UV Detection.

Ion-exclusion high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to measure poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) in Rhizobium japonicum bacteroids. The products in the acid digest of PHB-containing material were fractionated by HPLC on Aminex HPX-87H ion-exclusion resin for organic acid analysis. Crotonic acid formed from PHB during acid digestion was detected by its intense absorbance at 210 nm. T...

Microsequence analysis: I. Peptide isolation using high-performance liquid chromatography.

Peptide mixtures, arising from such diverse sources as tissue extracts, urine or proteolysis, are usually fractionated and characterized by a combination of ion-exchange chromatography, gel-exclusion chromatography and/or electrophoresis. Appropriate combinations of these methods will normally yield a homogeneous product, but their costs, detection limits, analyses times and yields vary. The re...

Recent progress and applications of ion-exclusion/ion-exchange chromatography for simultaneous determination of inorganic anions and cations.

One of the ultimate goals of ion chromatography is to determine both anions and cations found in samples with a single chromatographic run. In the present article, recent progress in ion-exclusion/ion-exchange chromatography for the simultaneous determinations of inorganic anions and cations are reviewed. Firstly, the principle and the control for the simultaneous separation and detection of ...

Quantification of identical and unique segments in ethylene-propylene copolymers using two dimensional liquid chromatography with infra-red detection

Hyphenating High Temperature High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HT-HPLC) with High Temperature Size Exclusion Chromatography (HT-SEC) (High Temperature Two Dimensional Liquid Chromatography (HT-HPLC x HT-SEC or HT 2D-LC)) leads to an isocratic elution in the second dimension, which in turn enables to use IR detector (quantitative detection) for monitoring the eluting polymers. Experimental...
