Supporting virtual collocation with a combination of basic awareness services

چکیده
This paper aregues for long–term awareness in cooperation support systems as a means for simulating physical proximity in virtually collocated groups. It then introduces a modular approach to awareness support. This approach makes it possible to configure the amount and the type of awareness to fit different cooperative settings. An example implementation is described in order to demonstrate the ideas.
