چکیده

Coelli (Oper. Res. Lett. 23 (1998) 143) introduced a multi-stage (MS-) DEA methodology that represents an interesting alternative for the treatment of slacks remaining after proportional correction in inputs or outputs. By solving a sequence of radial models, one thus arrives at the identi5cation of “more representative e7cient points” (in terms of similar input=output mixes). We show that “most representative e7cient points” can be found using a direct approach and may di;er from those obtained by MS-DEA. Nevertheless, MS-DEA remains very attractive in view of its economic (intrinsic price) legitimation. c © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Fuzzy Multi-Objective Two-Stage DEA Model for Evaluating the Performance of Companies Listed on Tehran Stock Exchange

The aim of this study is to provide a new two-stage DEA model with fuzzy multi-objective programming approach for evaluating the performance of companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange. In this study, a two-stage DEA model, different from the traditional model, we introduce for performance analysis. In this regard, the stable operation of companies, into two sub-process, have divided, whic...

A Ratio-Based Efficiency Measurement for Ranking Multi-Stage Production Systems in DEA

Conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) models are used to measure efficiency score of production systems when they are considered as black boxes and their internal relationship is ignored. This paper deals with a common special case of network systems which is called multi-stage production system and can be generalized to many organizations. A multi stage production system has some stages...

Cost efficiency in three stage network DEA-R processes

In many organizations and financial institutions, we don't always have acsses to inputs and outputs to evaluate the decision-making units (DMUs), but rather only a ratio of inputs to outputs ( or reverse) might be available. In DEA, cost efficiency determines input standards based on input costs. In multi-stage network DEA processes, in addition to input standards, cost efficiency would determi...

Tuning Regression Results for Use in Multi-stage Data Adjustment Approach of Dea

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been a wildly used powerful method to measure efficiencies of decision making units (DMUs). However, DEA efficiency scores are influenced by uncontrollable factors for respective DMUs. Previous studies attempted separating such factors from DEA scores. Fried et al. [4] proposed a multi-stage data adjustment approach using DEA and a regression model, and sever...

Presenting a New Model for Bank’s Supply Chain Performance Evaluating with DEA Solution Approach

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a method for measuring the efficiency of peer decision making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. The traditional DEA treats decision making units under evaluation as black boxes and calculates their efficiencies with first inputs and last outputs. This carries the notion of missing some intermediate measures in the process of changing the inputs to...
