چکیده مقاله:

In this article, the effect of potassium on structure and anticorrosion properties of zinc phosphate pigments has been investigated. The co-precipitation method was selected as synthesis method of potassium zinc phosphate pigment. Then the synthesized pigment was characterized by x-ray diffraction XRD, Fourier transform infrared FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. Morphology of the powders was investigated with scanning electron microscope SEM. The inhibition efficiency of this pigment was compared to the commercial zinc phosphate pigment in a 3.5 NaCl solution by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy EIS on mild steel specimens. The surface composition of mild steel specimens after exposure to the test solutions was examined by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy EDS. The results indicate the better corrosion inhibitive performance of potassium zinc phosphate in comparison with the commercial zinc phosphate.

AN IMPROVEMENT TO THE ANTICORROSIVE PROPERTIES OF EPOXY POWDER COATING BY ZINC PHOSPHATE AND ZINC ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE PIGMENTS

Epoxy powder coatings containing zinc aluminum phosphate (ZAP) and zinc phosphate (ZP), which are the 2nd and 1st generation of phosphate-based pigments respectively, were applied to the surface of mild steel sheets. The anticorrosive performances of the coated samples were studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Cathodic disbonding resistance and the adhesion performance of...

Effect of Zinc Phosphate on the Corrosion Behavior of Waterborne Acrylic Coating/Metal Interface

Waterborne coating has recently been paid much attention. However, it cannot be used widely due to its performance limitations. Under the specified conditions of the selected resin, selecting the function pigment is key to improving the anticorrosive properties of the coating. Zinc phosphate is an environmentally protective and efficient anticorrosion pigment. In this work, zinc phosphate was u...

Recycling Zinc Phosphate Sludge

he cost of sludge disposal can contribute significantly to the cost of product manufacturing. An opportunity exists to eliminate this cost of land disposal of sludge resulting from the zinc phosphate pretreatment process. In addition, the cost of the phosphating process may be reduced by reclaiming this sludge to a zinc-phosphate replenishment solution and other useful products. For those not f...

Comparative Study of Microleakage of Full Crown Resterations Luted with Ariadent and Harward Zinc Phosphate Cements

Film thickness, strength, solubility and microleakage of dental cements are essential factors in cement selection by dentist. Since failure of metal ceramic restorations is mostly due to their marginal leakage and provious studies have shown that microleakage of Resin, Glassionomer and Zincphosphate cements are different, this study was done to compare the rate of microleakage between Ariadent ...

In-vitro Comparison of the Antimicrobial Properties of Glass Ionomer Cements with Zinc Phosphate Cements

White spot lesions are observed in nearly 50% of patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Long-lasting antibacterial properties of orthodontic cements can reduce this phenomenon. The aim of this research was to compare antimicrobial activity of three commercial glass ionomer cements with three commercial zinc phosphate cements, over time, against streptococcus mutans and candida albicans...
