Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of photosynthetic pigments in stratified lakes: a critical analysis based on comparisons with HPLC determinations in a model lake High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an accurate method for photosynthetic pigment analysis; however, spectrophotometric equations are also frequently used for pigment quantification in aquatic systems. Her...
In this study, derivative UV spectrophotometric methods were developed for the analysis of diflunisal, which is used as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Analysis wavelengths of diflunisal for the first and second order derivative UV spectrophotometric methods were obtained as 235.6 nm and 228.8 nm, respectively. The linearity ranges were found as 1.0-25.0 μg mL-1 for the first order and 1...
Simple, accurate and precise spectroflourometric and spectrophotometric methods have been developed and validated for the determination of sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate (STG) and metformin HCL (MET). Zero order, first derivative, ratio derivative spectrophotometric methods and flourometric methods have been developed. The zero order spectrophotometric method was used for the determination o...
We compared a spectrophotometric kit method (Glycospec) for determination of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1) with a microcolumn kit method (Bio-Rad). The Glycospec method is based on the change in absorbance when phytic acid binds to hemoglobin A. With glycosylated hemoglobin there is no such change because the binding is blocked by the sugar moiety. Inter-assay CVs were 2-6% for both methods. I...
An easy and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been suggested for the assay of clonazepam (CLZM) as pure form in its formulation tablets. The present based on reaction CLZM with alizarin red S reagent (ALRS) via proton transfer to a colored solution maximum absorption at wavelength 528 nm optimal conditions were studied. linearity was within concentration range from 1 30 µg/ml, an R2 value...
This paper describes the Spectrophotometric and titrimetric methods for the determination of gentamycin and amoxycillin. The use of potassium iodate reagent for direct titrimetric method for the determination of some selected antibiotic has been described. The end point was characterized by a sharp change in color from colorless to deep red followed by spectrophotometric measurements.
