In 1964, Hayashi [8] defined and studied the notions of ?-dense in itself sets and ?-perfect subsets in ideal topological spaces. In 1999, Dontchev et al. [5] have studied the notion of Ideal resolvability through codense and completely codense ideal topological spaces. Recently, in the year 2004, Keskin, Noiri and Yuksel [12] have introduced and studied the concepts of fI -sets and fI -continu...

To support a vast set of user requirements, flexibility and extensibility are essential features of a metasystem architecture. We present an execution model, the Reflective Graph and Event Model, and demonstrate its use in Legion, an object-oriented metasystem project. Reflective features of the model are key in meeting our design goals of flexibility and extensibility.

For the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, there are purely hardware codec and solely software solutions. They are known to have either the best performance in terms of energy and speed or the flexibility. This project aims at examine the possible partitions between HW/SW and evaluate its tradeoffs between the flexibility and performance. Keywords-H.264, bitstream, deblocking filter

Software process modeling and simulation hold out the promise of improving project planning and control. However, purely quantitative approaches require a very detailed understanding of the software project and process, including reliable and precise project data. Contemporary project management defines the success of project as a cube, rather than the traditional single point, which allows the...

Embedded strategic flexibility may have a significant impact on the net worth of a software development project. Disregarding the additional value of flexibility may make a project look less attractive than it actually is. In this position paper we show how strategic flexibility in software projects can be valued in a practical and methodical manner using the concept of real options. The valuat...

1 Abhijit Nagchaudhuri, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, MD. 21853-1299, [email protected] Abstract Robots and numerically controlled machines allow easy reprogramming capability to adapt to varying task requirements and hence have found extensive use in manufacturing automation in factories. Although programmable robots have provided some degree of flexibility in ...

Wilson et al. propose a measure of flexibility in project scheduling problems and propose several ways of distributing flexibility over tasks without overrunning the deadline. These schedules prove quite robust: delays of some tasks do not necessarily lead to delays of subsequent tasks. The number of tasks that finish late depends, among others, on the way of distributing flexibility. In this p...

This work concerns the stress-state identification, produced by loads or dislocations, of statically indeterminate structures. In particular, this paper deals with the case of pin-jointed trusses, since they are a combination of simplicity of the structural model with very interesting technical applications. We present an approach that follows the main guidelines of the flexibility method to re...

With increasing number of wireless devices like laptops, Wi-Fi Web Cams, network extenders, etc., a new kind of problems appeared, mostly related to poor Wi-Fi throughput or communication problems. In this paper an investigation on wireless networks and it’s saturation in Vilnius City and its surrounding is presented, covering the main problems of wireless saturation and network load during day...
