چکیده
A 3D computational homogenization method based on X-ray microcomputed tomography (?CT) was proposed and implemented to investigate how the fiber weight fraction, orthotropy orientation distribution affect effective elastic properties of regenerated cellulose fiber-polylactic acid (PLA) biocomposites. Three-dimensional microstructures reconstructed by means ?CT were used as representative volume elements (RVEs) incorporated into finite element solver within framework. The present Euclidean bipartite matching technique so eliminate generation artificial periodic boundaries use in-situ solution domains. In addition, a reconstruction algorithm enabled finding surface descriptions for each individual in semi-automatic manner, aiming at reducing time labor required labeling. case study presented, through which compared validated with experimental investigations. is thus believed give precise picture microstructural heterogeneities biocomposites complex networks provide an insight influences fibers their properties.
