This volume contains the detailed account of a number of experiments which were ?arried out by Professor Eysenck and his colleagues on two groups of apprentices 11 a car manufacturing firm and on two strains of white rat. the human subject, it is presumed that the apprentices who were awaiting con-cation of their appointments, and were led to believe that the tests were relevant ? their selection, would be more highly motivated than those already in training. , is further presumed that the differences in test performance can be generalised 0 account for the effects of motivation in general.
