Abstract:

Alkyd resins were prepared into four different sets by varying the percentage concentrationof the glycerol content. Various properties such as the viscosity, Surface drying time, solubilityand color of the alkyd resins were evaluated for the various sets. The alkyd resin with the highestglycerol content was the most viscous, brownish in color and having the highest molecularweight this is due to the ratio 1:3 oil to glycerol content.

Preparation of Water-Based Alkyd/Acrylic Hybrid Resins

Alkyd resins are amongst the most important and widely used resins in coating sectors. In this communication we report on preparation of alkyd resins emulsified by grafted acrylic resins on their fatty acid moieties. Both high-shear mechanical homogenizer and ultra-sonic sonicator were used step-wise to disperse the alkyd resin and acrylic based monomers in aqueous media. The resins are of nano...

Preparation, properties and preclinical pharmacokinetics of low molecular weight heparin-modified isoliquiritigenin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle

Low molecular weight heparin-modified isoliquiritigenin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticle (LMWH-ISL-SLN) was developed for injective application. The morphological observation, particle diameter and zeta potential of LMWH-ISL-SLN were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and a Malvern Zetasizer. Its entrapment efficiency (EE) and drug loading (DL) were determined by ultracen...
