Effect of dredging on hydraulic and reduce flood in downstream river (Case study: Karun River downstream interval between Ahvaz and Farsyat)

چکیده مقاله:

This study modeled the effects of hydraulic dredging on the lower Karun river in Ahvaz range to thevillage is Farsyan . using software 4.1 HEC-RAS, one-dimensional model of the flow field wassimulated . After entering the information into the model and its calibration based on the selected,design flow model was implemented to extract the water surface elevation levels and spreading areaswere measured . The river cross sections have been modified in a way that will solve the problem.Then adjusted based on grades , calculate the approximate volume of dredging and dredgingperformance optimization strategies were presented . According to the tables referenced in the text, theresults indicate that dredging have little effect on the reduction of water surface elevation in the flowwith the return period. however, the results indicated an increase in the flow rate of dredging.
