چون انرژی ذخیره شده مادر بعلت خستگی یا اثرات دارویی طول مدت زایمان، مشکلات ایجاد شده در روند زایمان و مانند آن از بین می رود، بانوان در دوره پس از زایمان بیش از هر زمان دیگری مستعد ابتلاء به بیماری های احساسی می باشند.
