We present a genome assembly from an individual female Pieris rapae (the small white; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Pieridae). The sequence is 256 megabases in span. majority of the scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules, with W and Z sex chromosome assembled. Gene annotation this on Ensembl has identified 12,390 protein coding genes.

We present a genome assembly based on an individual female Aphantopus hyperantus, also known as Maniola hyperantus (the ringlet butterfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae), scaffolded using data from second, unrelated specimen. The sequence is 411 megabases in span. majority of the into 29 chromosomal pseudomolecules, includ...

The current study aimed to investigate the variety and number of dragonflies (Phylum Arthropoda, class Insecta) in Harsul Salim Ali Lake regions. region around Lakes was examined for diversity abundance. Three families a total nine different species were identified. Libellulidae family with greatest abundance our study, followed by Gomphidae, while Coenagrionidae had lowest Gomphidae coenogrion...

BACKGROUND Pentastomiasis is a rare parasitic infection of humans. Pentastomids are dioecious obligate parasites requiring multiple hosts to complete their lifecycle. Despite their worm-like appearance, they are commonly placed into a separate sub-class of the subphylum Crustacea, phylum Arthropoda. However, their systematic position is not uncontested and historically, they have been considere...

Ultrastructural studies of the mouthparts of the calanoid copepod Diaptomus pallidus have revealed the presence of numerous chemoreceptors, and the apparent absence of mechanoreceptors. The setae contain no muscles, and the setules are noncellular extensions of their chitin wall. This allows a new insight into the selective feeding of zooplankters.
