Tumour of the oral cavity is a rare condition in young animals. The most frequent are odontomas – locally invasive tumours with no metastatic potential. article describes case report 4-month-old male puppy diagnosed mandibular odontoma cystic appearance. Authors present clinical features, histopathological examination and surgical management using deep curettage hydroxyapatite granules depositi...
An aneurysmal bone cyst is rare in the patella. We report the case of a 9 year-old boy who presented with chronic pain and no previous trauma history. Treatment included curettage of the cyst and filling with a iliac bone graft. Ten months after surgery, the knee was mobile and painless and graft incorporation was good.
Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is a rare, benign, locally aggressive entity of the extragnathic craniofacial bones with a high tendency towards recurrence. Two distinctive microscopic patterns of juvenile ossifying fibroma have been described: a trabecular juvenile ossifying fibroma (TrJOF) and a psammomatoid juvenile ossifying fibroma (PJOF). Psammomatoid variant is predominantly a craniofac...
The solid variant of aneurismal bone cysts (ABC) is considered rare. It occurs with greater frequency in pediatric patients and in the tibia, femur, pelvis and humerus. We present a case of a metaphyseal lytic lesion on the distal extremity of the radius in a child whose radiograph was requested after low-energy trauma. The hypothesis of a pathological bone fracture secondary to an aneurysmal b...
Aneurysmal bone cysts (ABCs) are rare benign bone tumours. Scapula is a very rare location, and the relative literature is sparse. The purpose of this study is to present a case of a giant aggressive scapular aneurysmal bone cyst in a child. A 7-year-old boy presented to our hospital with pain and a palpated mass on the right scapula. Imaging studies (radiographs computed tomography scintigraph...
A Dentigerous Cyst (DC) is the most common developmental odontogenic cyst that mostly happens in patients between 10 to 30 years of age. It is usually completely asymptomatic and is discovered on a routine radiographic examination or to evaluate the reason for an erupted tooth. Radiographically, this cyst usually presents a well-defined unilocular radiolucency attached to CEJ of an unerupted to...
Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a benign, expansile, non-neoplastic lesion of the bone, characterized by channels of blood and spaces that are separated by fibrous septae. Giant ABC is an uncommon condition and can be difficult to handle because of the destructive effect of the cyst on the bones and the compressive effect on the nearby structures, especially in weight-bearing bones of the body. W...
