The cable capacitance in cryogenic and high vacuum applications of quartz tuning forks imposes severe constraints on the bandwidth and noise performance of the measurement. We present a single stage low noise transimpedance amplifier with a bandwidth exceeding 1 MHz and provide an in-depth analysis of the dependence of the amplifier parameters on the cable capacitance.

A single-chip dual-band power amplifier monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) operating at 3.5V single supply has been developed for both WLAN 2.4GHz and 5.2GHz with IEEE 802.11b/g/a standards applications. The MMIC utilizes the process of WINs Corp. with an InGaP/GaAs HBT process. The dual-band power amplifier constructed based on the design of adaptive RF bias choke circuits and prop...

A 0.1–12GHz Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) with an active balun is proposed for multi-standard applications. In order to realize wideband matching and single-to-differential (S2D) conversion simultaneously, a single-end resistive negative feedback amplifier is adopted as the first stage for input impedance matching, and a novel active balun consisting of common source amplifier and source follower i...

We present a single-frequency, single-mode, plane-polarized ytterbium-doped all-fiber master oscillator power amplifier source at 1060 nm generating 264 W of continuous-wave output power. The final-stage amplifier operated with a high gain of 19 dB and a high conversion efficiency of 68%. There was no evidence of rollover from stimulated Brillouin scattering even at the highest output power, an...

Low noise amplifier is the front end block of radio-frequency receiver system. Its design required various characteristics such as power gain, noise figure, insertion losses and power consumption. In this paper we have proposed a single stage low noise amplifier design with high gain and low noise using inductive source degeneration topology for frequency range of 3 GHz to 7 GHz and also use th...

High-resolution electronic interface circuits for transducers with nonlinear capacitive impedance need an operational amplifier, which is stable for a wide range of load capacitance. Such operational amplifier in a conventional design requires a large area for compensation capacitors, increasing costs and limiting applications. In order to address this problem, we present a gain-boosted two-sta...

The paper deals with the numerical and experimental development of single stage radio frequency (RF) amplifier with high gain for 2.4GHz receiver front-ends. The work is motivated by the increasing demand of high-gain receiver amplifier in low-cost especially for wireless local area network (WLAN) application. Prior hardware realization and experimental characterization, the proposed amplifier ...
