We propose a novel variant of the Continuous Double Auction (CDA), the Trust-based CDA (T-CDA), which we demonstrate to be robust to execution uncertainty. This is desirable in a setting where traders may fail to deliver the goods, services or payments they have promised. Specifically, the T-CDA provides a mechanism that allows agents to commit to trades they believe will maximize their expecte...

A novel circuit topology for high-gain distributed amplifiers is presented in this study. Based on the conventional distributed architecture, the gain cells are realized by cascading cascode stages for gain enhancement. In addition, the stagger-tuning technique is extensively utilized in the design of the cascode stages as well as the cascaded stages, leading to significant improvement in terms...

A new codon property, codon directional asymmetry in nucleotide content (CDA), reveals a biologically meaningful genetic code dimension: palindromic codons (first and last nucleotides identical, codon structure XZX) are symmetric (CDA = 0), codons with structures ZXX/XXZ are 5'/3' asymmetric (CDA = - 1/1; CDA = - 0.5/0.5 if Z and X are both purines or both pyrimidines, assigning negative/positi...

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Psychological symptoms can be associated with celiac disease; however, this association has not been studied prospectively in a pediatric cohort. We examined mother report of psychological functioning in children persistently positive for tissue transglutaminase autoantibodies (tTGA), defined as celiac disease autoimmunity (CDA), compared with children without CDA in a...

Recently, the rising the demand of Darlington products for the high data rate communication system. Darlington transistors are used in applications where a high gain is needed at a low frequency. Recently Darlington cell and Darlington topology have been reported high gain and good bandwidth for modern application. In modern communication Darlington amplifier is versatile used in low noise ampl...

The objective of the study was to compare cold dry air (CDA) and histamine in differentiating patients with nonallergic noninfectious perennial rhinitis (NANIPER) from control subjects. Nasal reactivity (nasal patency, mucus production, and sneezing) in 16 symptomatic nonsmoking patients with NANIPER and seven nonsmoking control subjects was measured with standardized CDA and histamine provocat...

During the last decade, there has been a huge increase in the volume of Internet business transactions which in turn led to the emergence of a new field of scientific research agentbased computational economics. In order to be able to conduct successful transactions, agents must have appropriate strategies to participate in trading negotiations. This paper i...

We show analytically that tailoring the fiber dispersion appropriately can cause optical solitons to propagate unperturbed, without emission of dispersive waves, in a distributed-gain fiber amplifier with a nonuniform gain profile. We apply our scheme to a bidirectionally pumped fiber amplifier and discuss the importance of higher-order nonlinear and dispersive effects for short solitons.

The contralateral delay activity (CDA) is a negative slow wave sensitive to the number of objects maintained in visual working memory (VWM). In recent years, a growing number of labs started to use the CDA in order to investigate VWM, leading to many fascinating discoveries. Here, we discuss the recent developments and contribution of the CDA in various research fields. Importantly, we report t...
