It is still a challenge to photocatalytically cogenerate clean water and energy from dye wastewater owing to the relatively low photocatalytic efficiency of photocatalysts. In this study, novel-structured TiO2/CuO composite nanofibers were successfully fabricated via facile electrospinning. For the first time, the TiO2/CuO composite nanofibers demonstrated multifunctional ability for concurrent...
CuO nanowires have been prepared and applied for the fabrication of glucose sensors with highly enhanced sensitivity. Cu(OH)(2) nanowires were initially synthesised by a simple and fast procedure, CuO nanowires were then formed simply by removing the water through heat treatment. The structures and morphologies of Cu(OH)(2) and CuO nanowires were characterised by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoe...
A facile in situ partial surface-oxidation strategy to integrate CoO domains with CoSe2 nanobelts on Ti mesh (denoted as CoO/CoSe2) via direct calcination of CoSe2-diethylenetriamine precursors is reported. The resulted self-supported CoO/CoSe2 exhibits an outstanding activity and stability in neutral media toward both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction.
Three-dimensional (3D) copper oxide (CuO) nanostructures were synthesized in a regenerated Bombyx mori silk fibroin aqueous solution at room temperature. In the synthesis process, silk fibroin served as the template and helped to form the hierarchical CuO nanostructures by self-assembly. Cu(OH)2 nanowires were formed initially, and then they transformed into almond-like CuO nanostructures with ...
An efficient catalytic effect of petals and flowers like CuO nanostructures (NSs) on the degradation of two organic dyes, methylene blue (MB) and rhodamine B (RB) were investigated. The highest degradation of 95% in CuO petals and 72 % in flowers for MB is observed in 24 h. For RB, the degradation was 85 % and 80 % in petals and flowers, respectively for 5 h. It was observed that CuO petals app...
Brands can position themselves as belonging to a foreign culture by using foreign languages (FLs) in advertising. FLs in ads have been suggested to be implicit country-of-origin (COO) cues. This paper examines the expectations that FLs operate through the COO effect (Study 1), and that they evoke associations (Study 2) and generate persuasive effects (Study 3) similar to COO mentions. The findi...
a facile mechanochemical-based method for synthesis of copper oxide (cuo) nanoparticles is here by introduced. for this purpose, copper hydroxide powder was synthesized through a facile solution method (cuso4 + 2 na(oh) → cu(oh)2 + na2so4) after which milling of as-prepared cu(oh)2 precursor and nacl resulted in the mechanochemical dehydration of cu(oh)2 and dispersion of cuo nanoparticles into...
The title compound, {(C(6)H(16)NO)[Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(5)]·CH(2)Cl(2)}(n), consists of acetate-bridged Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(4) units that are connected via another acetate anion at each terminus to form infinite anionic [{Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(4)}(CH(3)COO)](n) chains along [100]. The connecting acetate is hydrogen bonded to the dieth-yl(2-hydroxy-ethyl)ammonium cation, and the dichloro-methane solvent mol-ec...
A unique hexagonal sheet-shaped NiO/CoO/Fe2O3 composite with irregularly shaped nanoparticles was fabricated for the first time through a simple co-precipitation and hydrothermal method. The NiO/CoO/Fe2O3 composite was characterized by numerous techniques (TEM, HRTEM, PXRD, EDX, ICP-AES, BET, and XPS) to confirm its structure and composition. This structure of the NiO/CoO/Fe2O3 composite may en...
