This article provides a condensed discussion and explanation of the Delphi method. This technique is used for problem solving and decision making. The Delphi Method was originally developed during the cold war by the U.S. Intelligence think tank, the RAND Corporation, Santa Monica, California in the 1950's and 1960's. It was designed for use on complex or ambiguous problems that exceed the capa...
Companies, seen as social communities, are major health promotion contexts. However, health promotion in the work setting is often less successful than intended. To target future research efforts, this study aimed to determine future research priorities with representatives of the EMS field. METHODS A four-round online Delphi survey was used to discuss different viewpoints and reach consensus on research prioritie...
In the data accumulated by DELPHI during November 1995 LEP run at 130 GeV { 140 GeV, events with four fermions in the nal state have been selected. Final states l + l ? q q, q q, l + l ? and l + l ? l + l ? have been analyzed. Three events were found in agreement with expectations from Standard Model four-fermion processes of 2.3 0.14 events and two-fermion background of 0.76 0.15 events.
In this article we aim to demonstrate how Gadamerian philosophical hermeneutics may provide a sound methodological framework for researchers using the Delphi Technique (Delphi) in studies exploring health and well-being. Reporting of the use of Delphi in health and well-being research is increasing, but less attention has been given to covering its methodological underpinnings. In Delphi, a str...
A proposal for a possible upgrade around the FCA (the FCA*) based on Thin Gap Gas Chambers has been presented to DELPHI. In this note the detailed design of the FCA* layout is described.
BACKGROUND Dizziness in general practice is very common, especially in elderly patients. The empirical evidence for diagnostic tests in the evaluation of dizziness is scarce. Aim of our study was to determine which set of diagnostic tests should be part of a diagnostic protocol for evaluating dizziness in elderly patients in general practice. METHODS We conducted a Delphi procedure with a pan...
