We propose a new technique called Di erential Cluster Analysis for side-channel key recovery attacks. This technique uses cluster analysis to detect internal collisions and it combines features from previously known collision attacks and Di erential Power Analysis. It captures more general leakage features and can be applied to algorithmic collisions as well as implementation speci c collisions...

We present hidden veri cation as a means to make the power of computational logic available to users of computer algebra systems while shielding them from its complexity. We have implemented in PVS a library of facts about elementary and transcendental functions, and automatic procedures to attempt proofs of continuity, convergence and di erentiability for functions in this class. These are cal...

A 2nd-order, L-stable Rosenbrock method from the eld of sti ordinary di erential equations is studied for application to atmospheric dispersion problems describing photochemistry, advective and turbulent di usive transport. Partial di erential equation problems of this type occur in the eld of air pollution modelling. The focal point of the paper is to examine the Rosenbrock method for reliable...

We analyze the security of the SEED block cipher against di erential attacks. SEED is a 16-round Feistel cipher developed by the Korea Information Security Agency. The SEED proposers estimated their cipher against di erential cryptanalysis in a self-estimation document and found a six-round di erential characteristic with probability 2 130 . We present an improved method of examining the di ere...

This report discusses a mathematical software package DKLAG5 which consists of a suite of FORTRAN subroutines for the numerical solution of systems of functional di erential equations with state dependent delays. The package implements continuously imbedded Runge{ Kutta methods which are based on C polynomial interpolants. These interpolants are exploited by the software to handle the necessary...

In this paper we deene a compositional semantics for a generalized composition operator on logic programs. Static and dynamic inheritance as well as composition by union of clauses can all be obtained by specializing the general operator. The semantics is based on the notion of diierential programs, logic programs annotated with declarations that establish the programs' external interfaces.

First order neutral di¤erential equations are studied and su‰cient conditions are derived for every solution to be oscillatory. Our approach is to reduce the oscillation of neutral di¤erential equations to the nonexistence of eventually positive solutions of non-neutral di¤erential inequalities. Our results extend and improve several known results in the literature.

We consider an optimal stopping problem for a Hilbert-space valued di usion. We prove that the value function of the problem is the unique viscosity solution of an obstacle problem for the associated parabolic partial di erential equation in the Hilbert space. The results are applied to investigate the pricing of American interest rate options in the lognormal Heath-Jarrow-Morton model of yield...

Multigrid methods originated earlier this century, in the personnel computing era. Someone who needed to compute an approximation to the solution of a partial di erential equation during that era would ll a room with people. After using very simple mechanical calculators to compute parts of the approximation, these people would pass their parts to the other people in the room who needed them. E...
