In this paper we present the latest developments in the design, fabrication and application of single and arrays of biomimetic hair flow-sensors towards high-resolution air-flow imaging. Redesigning the electrode system of the hair sensor (using SOI wafer technology) has led to improve the detection limit down to 1 mm/s air-flow amplitude using 3 kHz measurement bandwidth. SOI technology facili...

A large square array of thin dipoles has a well-behaved scan resistance over a wide bandwidth. Such an array requires reactance matching with frequency, but not with scan angles. The scan element pattern (SEP) shows only small changes over a 5 : 1 bandwidth. However, a dipole/screen array is suitable for wide-band scan only in the H-plane.

The concept of connected (or coupled) dipoles in a linear array, which improves wideband performance, is examined. A long wire with multiple feeds is the model, using rigorous moment method analysis. Edge waves of current appear not to be attenuated; around half-wave dipole length the current peaks are one wavelength apart, with deep nulls. For dipole lengths around quarter-wave the current pea...

The littlest Higgs model with T-parity, which is called LHT model, predicts the existence of the new particles, such as heavy top quark, heavy gauge bosons, and mirror fermions. We calculate the one-loop contributions of these new particles to the top quark chromomagnetic dipole moment (CMDM) ∆K. We find that the contribution of the LHT model is one order of magnitude smaller than the standard ...

The regular oscillations in scan impedance (normalized by the infinite array values) that occur across a finite array are uniquely altered in two special cases based on computer simulations of finite-by-infinite arrays. First, dipoles with groundplane at broadside in the E-plane, exhibit a slow modulation of the usual oscillations; the period of the modulation varies with dipole radius. For all...

We study the fluctuation-mediated interactions between two atoms in presence of an aplanatic lens, demonstrating enhancement their resonant dipole-dipole interaction. derive field propagation linear optical system terms electromagnetic Green's tensor for lens. The collective internal atomic dynamics is analyzed via a Lindblad master equation, which allows one to characterize dispersive and diss...

Diatomic polar molecules are one of the most promising platforms quantum computing due to their rich internal states and large electric dipole moments. Here, we propose entangling rotational adjacent via a strong dipole-dipole interaction. The splitting 1.27 kHz between two entangled is predicted for MgF in an optical tweezer array. resolution can be achieved magic potential where have same tra...
