In this research paper, an improved Chebyshev-Gauss-Lobatto pseudospectral approximation of nonlinear Burger-Huxley and Fitzhugh- Nagumo equations have been presented. The method employs chebyshev Gauss-Labatto points in time and space to obtain spectral accuracy. The mapping has introduced and transformed the initial-boundary value non-homogeneous problem to homogeneous problem. The main probl...

The aim of this paper is to present the recently proposed fluid diffusion based algorithm in the general context of the matrix inversion problem associated to the Gauss-Seidel method. We explain the simple intuitions that are behind this diffusion method and how it can outperform existing methods. Then we present some theoretical problems that are associated to this representation as open resea...

The Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel iterative methods are among iterative methods for solving linear system of equations. In this paper, a new iterative method is introduced, it is based on the linear combination of old and most recent calculated solutions. The new method can be considered as a general method, where the Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel methods as two special cases of it. Some convergence proper...

A discrete Gauss' theorem is presented. Using a fast surface tracking algorithm and the discrete Gauss' theorem, we design a new method to compute the Cartesian geometric moments of 3-D objects. Compared to previous methods to compute such moments, the new method reduces the computational complexity signi cantly.

We introduce in the present paper a Gauss–Newton-type method for solving generalized equations defined by sums of differentiable mappings and set-valued mappings in Banach spaces. Semi-local convergence and local convergence of the Gauss–Newton-type method are analyzed.

Spectral element approximations based on triangular elements and on the so-called Fekete points of the triangle have been recently developed. p-multigrid methods offer an interesting way to resolve efficiently the resulting ill-conditioned algebraic systems. For elliptic problems, it is shown that a well chosen restriction operator and a good set up of the coarse grid matrices may lead to valua...

INTRODUCTION The use of accelerometers to objectively measure physical activity (PA) has become the most preferred method of choice in recent years. Traditionally, cutpoints are used to assign impulse counts recorded by the devices to sedentary and activity ranges. Here, hidden Markov models (HMM) are used to improve the cutpoint method to achieve a more accurate identification of the sequence ...

in this paper, chebyshev acceleration technique is used to solve the fuzzy linear system (fls). this method is discussed in details and followed by summary of some other acceleration techniques. moreover, we show that in some situations that the methods such as jacobi, gauss-sidel, sor and conjugate gradient is divergent, our proposed method is applicable and the acquired results are illustrate...

We describe regularization tools for training large-scale artiicial feed-forward neural networks. In a companion paper (in this issue) we give the basic ideas and some theoretical results regarding the Gauss-Newton method compared to other methods such as the Levenberg-Marquardt method applied on small and medium size problems. We propose algorithms that explicitly use a sequence of Tikhonov re...

The waveform-relaxation method is an iterative method for analysis of nonlinear dynamical system. Two waveform-relaxation algorithms i.e., Gauss-Seidel(GS) and Gauss-Jacobi(GJ) algorithms are presented for analysis of dynamical system. Then organization of a waveform-relaxation circuit simulator is described.
