جنس بنگ دانه (Hyoscyamus) در ایران مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. از این جنس جمعاً 13 گونه از ایران تشخیص داده میشود. گونه H. bornmulleri به عنوان گونه جدیدی از ایران شرح داده میشود و با گونه نزدیک به خود H. tenuicaulis مقایسه میگردد. 6 مترادف جدید گزارش میشود و کلید شناسایی گونههای شناخته شده برای ایران ارائه میگردد.
