We study the evolution of entanglement and nonlocality of a non-interacting qubit-qutrit system under the effect of random telegraph noise (RTN) in independent and common environments in Markovian and non-Markovian regimes. We investigate the dynamics of qubit-qutrit system for different initial states. These systems could be existed in far astronomical objects. A monotone decay of the nonlocalit...
We have studied the radiative decay of atomic hydrogen in strong magnetic fields of up to 4 T. We have followed the radiative cascade from completely l ,m mixed distributions of highly excited states as well as from distributions that involve highly excited states with m n. We have found that the time it takes to populate the ground state is not affected by the magnetic field for the initial st...
The long-time behavior of the solution of the system θτ−απτ = Ω(θ), πτ−θτ = πξξ is investigated. Such a system is related to the modeling of detonation waves subjected to strong hydraulic resistance. We establish that some initial conditions yield decay (failure of ignition) while for other initial conditions our results strongly suggest convergence to traveling waves (successful ignition).
We consider non-uniformly expanding maps on compact Riemannian manifolds of arbitrary dimension, possibly having discontinuities and/or critical sets, and show that under some general conditions they admit an induced Markov tower structure for which the decay of the return time function can be controlled in terms of the time generic points need to achieve some uniform expanding behavior. As a c...
This three year study compared the decay of the commonly used faecal indicator organisms Escherichia coli, enterococci and coliphage in coastal water and sediment using laboratory based microcosms with that for the pathogens Salmonella typhimurium and S. derby. Results from the laboratory study were validated with in-situ decay rates of faecal coliforms observed at a recreational coastal site f...
The viral decay in sediments, that is, the decrease in benthic viral concentration over time, was recorded after inhibiting the production of new viruses. Assuming that the viral abundance in an aquatic system remains constant and that viruses from lysed bacterial cells replace viruses lost by decay, the decay of viral particles can be used as a measure of viral production. Decay experiments sh...
Messenger RNA (mRNA) degradation is an important element of gene expression that can be modulated by alterations in translation, such as reductions in initiation or elongation rates. Reducing translation initiation strongly affects mRNA degradation by driving mRNA toward the assembly of a decapping complex, leading to decapping. While mRNA stability decreases as a consequence of translational i...
The dynamics and diversity of proliferating cellular populations are governed by the interplay between the growth and death rates among the various phenotypes within a colony. In addition, epigenetic multistability can cause cells to spontaneously switch from one phenotype to another. By examining a generalized form of the relative variance of populations and classifying it into intracolony and...
We consider the global existence and large-time asymptotic behavior of strong solutions to Cauchy problem three-dimensional (3D) nonhomogeneous incompressible Navier–Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity vacuum. After establishing some key a priori exponential decay-in-time rates solutions, we obtain both stability in whole space, provided that initial velocity is suitably small hom...
