Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) accounts for about 5% of all strokes and may be due to congenital or acquired conditions, themost common being intracranial aneurysms. Cerebral aneurysms are present in up to 6% of the population. SAH requires a multi-disciplinary approach tomanagement, at a dedicated neurosciences centre. Patients may present with sudden-onset occipital headache (‘thunder clap’)....
