A simplified method for building three-dimensional (3D) mock-ups of peach trees is presented. The method combines partial digitizing of tree structure with reconstruction rules for non-digitized organs. Reconstruction was applied at two scales: leaves on current-year shoots (CYS) and shoots on 1-year-old shoots (OYOS). Reconstruction rules make use of allometric relationships, random sampling o...

Carbohydrate partitioning represents a central problem of process−based models of tree growth because of the coupling between carbon partitioning, growth, and architecture. PEACH was an early, sink−driven, carbohydrate partitioning model for simulating reproductive and vegetative growth of fruit trees. Carbon partitioning in that model was based on the hypothesis that a tree grows as a collecti...

Peach tree thinning is essential to harvest quality fruits and keep balanced production for several years. Manual of peach trees demands much work force increases costs. Chemical may be an alternative solution, but efficiency depends on doses species. This study aimed at evaluating the effect metamitron – applied different concentrations chemical in south Brazil. The experiment was carried out ...

Abstract Objectives Peach (Prunus persica L.) is an ancient fruit tree that originated from China. It the climacteric belonging to genus Prunus in family Rosaceae. Ethylene, which produced during ripening, accelerates softening, and therefore peaches cannot be stored for a long time. Materials Methods To study mechanism of late transcriptome analysis late-ripening mutant ‘Jinghong’ peach was pe...

During the 1995 season, large (-275g), medium (175g) and small (125g) ’O’Henry’ peaches were stored in either air, 5% CO, + 2% 0, or 17% CO, + 6% 0, at 38°F (3.3”C). Large ‘O’Henry’ peaches benefited more from the 17% CO, + 6% 0, than from either the 5% CO, + 2% 0, or the air storage treatment. During the 1996 season, large, medium and small ‘Elegant Lady’ and ’O’Henry’ peaches were stored in a...

Introduction Peach allergy is one of the most common allergies in subjects with reactions to plant-foods. The relationship between peach allergy and other foods and the sensitization pattern in these patients have not been studied in detail. We study the sensitization to relevant allergens, such as peach and peanut LTP, Prup3 and Arah9, and seed storage protein, Arah2. Studies were carried out ...

The aim of our research was to determine the effect short pruning on productive and vegetative characteristics peach trees. conducted two cultivars, ‘Redhaven’ ‘Fayette’. Three treatments were applied, with heading bearing branches at 20, 30, 40 cm in length a control, without heading. following evaluated: growth TCSA, number thinned fruitlets, fruit yield per tree, average weight fruits diamet...

Rosaceae fruit allergy is the most common food allergy in Europe in patients over 5 years of age. The two fruits most frequently involved are peach and apple. Different clinical phenotypes of peach allergy are observed across Europe in relation to different allergen sensitisation patterns to the peach allergens Pru p1 (Bet v 1 homologue), Pru p 3 (peach lipid transfer protein, LTP), and Pru p 4...

Abstract This study aimed at evaluating production parameters of peach trees subject to different doses potassium fertilization and establishing the critical level this nutrient in soil tree leaves. The experiment was conducted 2016, 2017 2018 seasons a commercial orchard located Morro Redondo, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. Peach cultivar Sensação were fertilized following doses: 0, 40, 80, ...

Peach latent mosaic viroid (PLMVd) is a member of the genus Pelamoviroid in the family Avsunviroidae and infects peach trees. We de novo assembled a PLMVd genome from a peach transcriptome and identified 18 variants in a single peach cultivar, after sequencing 20 PLMVd genomes by Sanger sequencing.
