The motion of the viscous, incompressible fluid through a porous medium with heat and mass transfer over a shrinking sheet is investigated. The cross-diffusion effect between temperature and concentration is considered. This phenomenon is modulated mathematically by a set of partial differential equations which govern the continuity, momentum, heat, and mass. These equations are transformed to ...

We discuss the solution of a nonlinear ordinary differential equation that appears in a model for MHD viscous flow caused by a shrinking sheet. We propose an accurate numerical solution and derive simple analytical expressions. Our results suggest that a recent perturbation treatment of the same problem exhibits a pathological behaviour and conjecture its probable cause.
In this communication, we report a composite macroporous hydrogel sheet that can rapidly transform into multiple 3D shapes in response to near-infrared (NIR) light on demand. The transformation relies on the photo-thermal-induced asymmetric shrinking of the hydrogel material, which is further verified by finite element modeling.
The present paper investigates the effect of a mathematical model describing the aforementioned process in which the ambient nanofluid in the presence of suction/injection and magnetic field are taken into consideration. The flow is induced by an infinite elastic sheet which is stretched along its own plane. The stretching/shrinking of the sheet is assumed to be proportional to the distance fro...
In this paper, a comprehensive study of hydromagnetic (MHD) axisymmetric stagnation point flow and heat transfer characteristics of an electrically conducting viscous incompressible micropolar fluid towards a shrinking sheet with radiation effects is investigated under the action of a transverse magnetic field. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are reduced to non linear ordina...
