A 50 yr old female developed transient ST segment elevation due to an acute coronary vasospasm following a Indian Red Scorpion sting and the angiogram revealed 50% occlusion in right coronary artery (RCA).The possible mechanism is that the sympathetic over-activity could have aggravated the occlusion in the RCA as the RCA is more commonly prone to spasm compared to the other coronary arteries.

The use of recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) is one the best solutions to mitigate problem ecological instability created by waste. RCA has less crushing strength, impact resistance, specific gravity, and more water absorption capacity than natural (NA). To overcome compromised properties RCA, a comprehensive study supported experimental investigation required. This paper prescribes methodology...

Stent implantation into atherosclerotic coronary arteries releases particulate debris and soluble substances that contribute to impaired microvascular perfusion. Here we addressed the potential for microvascular obstruction in patients with stenotic native right coronary arteries (nRCA) compared with saphenous vein grafts on right coronary arteries (SVG-RCA). We enrolled symptomatic, male patie...

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of atrial flutter (AFL) is a commonly performed procedure with low risk of complications. Several case reports and animal studies cautioned about the risk of right coronary artery (RCA) injury following AFL ablation. This risk is due to the anatomic proximity of the RCA to the cavo-tricuspid isthmus where ablation is performed. We present a case report that demonst...

A 1D Reversible Cellular Automata (RCA) with forward and backward radius2 neighborhoods is called Rectangular. It was previously conjectured that the conservation laws in 1D Rectangular RCA can be described as linear combinations of independent constant-speed flows to the right or to the left. This is indeed the case; so is a similar statement about a more general class of Rectangular RCA in an...

INTRODUCTION A systemic anticoagulation is often required to prevent circuit and filter clotting in ICU patients undergoing continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). A regional citrate-based anticoagulation (RCA) does not induce a systemic anticoagulation and prolongs the filter lifespan, but metabolic side-effects have been associated with this therapy. We conducted a randomized controlled ...

Congenital coronary artery anomalies are present at birth, but most anomalies are discovered as incidental findings during coronary angiography or at autopsy. Double right coronary artery (RCA) is a rare coronary anomaly. Double RCA with bifurcation stenosis in association with degenerative complete heart block (CHB) have never been reported in literature to the best of our knowledge. We theref...

Manuscript received August 10, 2011; accepted September 3, 2011. Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) with abluminal biodegradable polymer in the mid-RCA was attempted. It passed through the everolimus-eluting stent in the proximal RCA without difficulty. However, it would not advance to the target lesion in the mid-RCA (Fig. 1C). Additional balloon inflation was performed. A 12-mm Driver Sprint stent (M...

BACKGROUND Preventable errors are common in healthcare. Over the last decade, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) has become a key tool for healthcare services to investigate adverse events and try to prevent them from happening again. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the work of the New South Wales (NSW) RCA Review Committee. The benefits of correctly classifying, aggregating and disseminating ...
