Phosphorus (P) inactivation agents have been widely used to control sediment P release for combating lake eutrophication. The settlement and decomposition of algal biomass from the overlying water can alter microenvironment capping layer potentially affect performance agents. In this study, we explored impacts on lanthanum/aluminum comodified attapulgite (LAA), a commonly agent, underlying mech...

Massive stockpiles of uranium (U) mine tailings have resulted in soil contamination with U. Plants for remediation low extraction efficiency Chelating agents can mobilize U soils and, hence, enhance phytoextraction from the soil. However, rapid mobilization rate by chelating a short period than plant uptake could increase risk groundwater soluble leaching down profile. This review summarizes re...

In this study, multi-layered pH-responsive polymeric nanoparticles (NPs) are prepared by multiple (up to 4) emulsifications to encapsulate multiple hydrophilic and hydrophobic theranostic agents for controlled and sequenced release. It is found that the sequence of release of multiple chemotherapeutic agents from the NPs significantly affects their efficacy against cancer cells.

alkylhydroperoxide reductase (ahpc, the 26 kda antigen) is one of the abundant antioxidant enzymes in helicobacter pylori and seems to have a good potential for use in development of immunoassays to detect h. pylori infection in clinical specimens. this study aimed to investigate some properties of this antigen by the produced monoclonal antibodies. five established hybridoma cell lines secreti...

An in vitro system for perifusion of rat pancreatic islets has been utilized to define the effects of cholinergic agents on the dynamics of insulin release. In the absence of glucose the effects of either acetylcholine or acetyl-beta-methylcholine were minimal at concentrations up to 10(-5) mM. In the presence of low glucose concentration (2.4 mM), both of the muscarinic agents produced dose-de...

Vascular endothelial cells respond to external stimuli by altering the secretion of several bioactive molecules, including von Willebrand factor (vWf), prostacyclin (PGI2) and nitric oxide (NO). The release of all three molecules is regulated by a rise in cytosolic calcium ([Ca2+]i). In the present study we investigated whether cAMP-dependent signaling provides differential regulation of these ...

Ca2+ release from liver mitochondria induced by N-ethylmaleimide, diamide, inorganic phosphate, palmitoyl-coenzyme A, and oxaloacetate occurs by a common mechanism. With all agents, a collapse of membrane potential, uptake of hydrogen ion, progressive acceleration of respiration, and large amplitude swelling accompanies Ca2+ release. These findings indicate that the agents promote an increase i...

Tablet is most popular among all dosage forms today because of its convenience, ease administration, greater flexibility in form design, production, and low cost non-invasive therapy. Formulation tablets requires API along with excipients. Excipients include lubricants, diluents, binders, glidants, disintegrants, sweetening agents, flavoring etc. Recent trends indicate that multi-particulate dr...

the aim of this study was to develop a derivative of chitosan as pharmaceutical excipient used in sustained-release matrix tablets of poorly soluble drugs. a water-soluble quaternary ammonium carboxymethylchitosan was synthesized by a two-step reaction with carboxymethylchitosan (cmcts), decylalkyl dimethyl ammonium and epichlorohydrin. the elemental analysis showed that the target product with...
