Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) is ubiquitous in nature, and may be a causative agent severe, life-threatening infections. In >60% of cases, β-lactam antibiotics are used the therapy P. infections, therefore emergence carbapenem-resistant (CRPA) significant clinical concern. this study, phenotypic methods were to characterize fifty-four (n = 54) isolates, which included based on their s...

Compared with four beta-lactam antibiotics and amikacin, BRL 36650 and BMY-28142 were the most active against 509 Enterobacteriaceae, including cefotaxime-resistant isolates and resistant laboratory mutants. BRL 36650 was more active than aztreonam, ceftazidime, and BMY-28142 against Acinetobacter spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and other Pseudomonas spp.; all strains were inhibited by 2 microgra...

Background and Objectives: Infection is the most common problem following burn injury. Selection and dissemination of intrinsic and acquired resistance mechanisms increase the probability of burn wound colonization by resistant species including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas ae...

Infections with extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (XDRAB) have limited therapeutic options. We report successful salvage treatment of XDRAB and Pseudomonas aeruginosa-infected retained spinal hardware cefiderocol, despite the development reversible acute interstitial nephritis after 32 days treatment.

conclusion prevalence of p. aeruginosa producing esbl and mdr strains from our clinical samples and environment is still low. results the highest resistance rates from the isolated p. aeruginosa were shown against piperacillin, imipenem, cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, gentamicin, ceftazidime, aztreonam, and ciprofloxacin, respectively. seven isolates (9.2%) were esbl producers. more than 30% of the i...

The aim of the present study was to determine the sensitivity pattern of clinical isolates of otitis media. During the last few decades, the occurrence of otitis media seems to have been rising probably because of prevalence of multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and β-lactamase producing Staphylococcus aureus in the pathogenesis of otitis media. Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus...
