We discuss the analysis of data from πN elastic scattering and single pion photoand electroproduction. The main focus is a study of low-lying non-strange baryon resonances. Here we concentrate on some difficulties associated with resonance identification, in particular the Roper and higher P11 states.

In this article we propose a generalisation of the recent work of Gatheral-Jacquier [11] on explicit arbitrage-free parameterisations of implied volatility surfaces. Sixty-six consecutive cases undergoing enucleation with the insertion of the Roper-Hall magnetic implant at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital (BMEH) were followed up to re-establish the rate of extrusion. It was possible to study the records of all 66 patients. An extrusion rate of 1.5% was found.
