In this study, silver nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction method at different concentrations of Ag colloid in the range of 500-16000 ppm. Nanoparticles were deposited by spin coating method on pre-etched glass and Si substrates. Structural, optical and electrical properties of the samples were studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy equipped with EDAX, UV-Vis spectroph...

By applying a recently proposed mapping, we derive exactly the upper phase boundary of several Ising spin glass models defined over static graphs and random graphs, generalizing some known results and providing new ones. We explicitly show the connection between the protein folding problem and spin glass transition. This is then used to identify appropriate quantities that are required to describe the transition. A possible way of observing the spin glass transition is proposed. 87.15.-v, 89.90.+n, 61.41.+e, 75.10.Nr Typeset using REVTEX

– We study in d = 3 dimensions the short-range Ising spin glass with Jij = ±1 couplings and periodic boundary conditions at T = 0. We show that the overlap distribution is non-trivial in the limit of large system size. Introduction. – There has been an upsurge of interest in the Edwards-Anderson model [1] of the short-range Ising spin glass with binary couplings,

We study the 4d Heisenberg spin glass model with Gaussian nearestneighbor interactions. We use finite size scaling to analyze the data. We find a behavior consistent with a finite temperature spin glass transition. Our estimates for the critical exponents agree with the results from ε-expansion. A novel method for numerical numerical spin glass investigations is described: Simulations of two replica at fixed temperature, weighted such that a broad distribution of the Parisi overlap parameter q is achieved. Canonical expectation values for the entire q-range (multi-overlap) follow by re-weighting and allow a calculation of spin glass tunneling barriers.
