In Euclidean space, the integration by parts formula for a set of finite perimeter is expressed by the integration with respect to a type of surface measure. According to geometric measure theory, this surface measure is realized by the one-codimensional Hausdorff measure restricted on the reduced boundary and/or the measure-theoretic boundary, which may be strictly smaller than the topological...

The notion of a probabilistic metric  space  corresponds to thesituations when we do not know exactly the  distance.  Probabilistic Metric space was  introduced by Karl Menger. Alsina, Schweizer and Sklar gave a general definition of  probabilistic normed space based on the definition of Menger [1]. In this note we study the PN spaces which are  topological vector spaces and the open mapping an...

We provide a natural topology for a cone metric space and a noncompactness measure is defined for this space, which enables us to extend existing results for mappings and set-valued mappings defined on classical metric spaces. Moreover it is proved that the topology of any uniform topological space is generated by a cone metric. c ©2016 All rights reserved.

The relation of magnetic helicity to the topological structure of field lines is discussed. If space is divided into a collection of flux tubes, magnetic helicity arises from internal structure within a flux tube, such as twist and kinking, and external relations between flux tubes, i.e. linking and knotting. The concepts of twist number and writhing number are introduced from the mathematical-...

The Filter Dichotomy says that every uniform nonmeager filter on the integers is mapped by a finite-to-one function to an ultrafilter. The consistency of this principle was proved by Blass and Laflamme. A medial limit is a universally measurable function from P(ω) to the unit interval [0, 1] which is finitely additive for disjoint sets, and maps singletons to 0 and ω to 1. Christensen and Mokob...

It is known that there is a comeagre set of mutually conjugate measure preserving homeomorphisms of Cantor space equipped with the coinflipping probability measure, i.e., Haar measure. We show that the generic measure preserving homeomorphism is moreover conjugate to all of its powers. It follows that the generic measure preserving homeomorphism extends to an action of (Q,+) by measure preservi...

Space, as we typically represent it in mathematics and physics, is composed of dimensionless, indivisible points. But philosophers have for a long time doubted whether there are any point-sized regions of space. On an alternative, region-based approach to space, extended regions together with the relations of parthood and contact are taken as primitive; points are represented as mathematical ab...

In this paper, we introduce and characterize the concept of fuzzy almost generalized $e$-continuous mappings. Several interesting properties of these mappings are also given. Examples and counter examples are also given to illustrate the concepts introduced in the paper. We also introduce the concept of fuzzy $f T_{frac{1}{2}}e$-space, fuzzy $ge$-space, fuzzy regular $ge$-space and  fuzzy gener...
