This note accompanies T. Mart́ınez–Coronado, A. Mir, F. Rosselló and G. Valiente’s work “A balance index for phylogenetic trees based on quartets”, introducing a new balance index for trees. We show here that this balance index, in the case of Aldous’s β ≥ 0–model, convergences weakly to a contraction–type distribution.
AIMS Atrial stunning, a loss of atrial mechanical contraction, can occur following a successful cardioversion. It is hypothesized that persistent atrial fibrillation-induced electrical remodeling (AFER) on atrial electrophysiology may be responsible for such impaired atrial mechanics. This simulation study aimed to investigate the effects of AFER on atrial electro-mechanics. METHODS AND RESUL...
Recently, Sandeep Bhatt et.al [12] proved common fixed theorem for four self maps satisfying some contraction principles on a complex valued metric spaces. In this manuscript we obtain a common fixed point theorem for six maps in complex valued metric spaces having commuting and weakly compatible. Our theorem generalizes and extends the result of S. Bhatt et.al[12]. Mathematics Subject Classifi...
The aim of this paper is to study the solvability of the Dirichlet problem for certain types of fully nonlinear elliptic equations. The theory of weakly-near operators, combined to Contraction Mapping and Schauder fixed point theorems, is used. Our main results generalizes similar ones given by S. Campanato and A. Tarsia.
benthic foraminiferal assemblages from maastrichtian strata, gansserina gansseri-abathamphalus mayaroensis planktonic foraminiferal zone, of the abtalkh formation at aitamir section (west of the kopeh-dagh basin) were investigated in order to evaluate the palaeoenvironmental changes (organic matter flux and bottom-water oxygenation). maastrichtian faunal assemblages are well preserved and diver...
OBJECTIVE Prolonged vibration stimulation to normal individuals could lead to muscle weakness attributable to attenuation of afferent feedback. This weakness is neurophysiologically similar to that seen in patients with knee injury. Theoretically, increasing input to gamma motor neurons could reverse this weakness. Sensory input to these neurons from skin could indirectly increase Ia afferent f...
In this paper, we study the existence of fixed points for mappings defined on complete metric space (X, d) satisfying a general contractive inequality depended on another function. This conditions is analogous of Banach conditions and general contraction condition of integral type.
We introduce the notion of a weakly reflective submanifold, which is an austere submanifold with a certain global condition, and study its fundamental properties. Using these, we determine weakly reflective orbits and austere orbits of s-representations.
In this paper, we first establish a new fixed point theorem for a Meir-Keeler type condition. As an application, we derive a simultaneous generalization of Banach contraction principle, Kannan's fixed point theorem, Chatterjea's fixed point theorem and other fixed point theorems. Some new fixed point theorems are also obtained.
Let A" be a normed linear space and let K be a convex subset of X. The inward set, I¡((x), of x relative to K is defined as follows: I^(x) = {x + c(u x):c > 1, u e K). A mapping T:K —► X is said to be inward if Tx S I/ç(x) for each x e K, and weakly inward if Tx belongs to the closure of If¿(x) for each x e K. In this paper a characterization of weakly inward mappings is given in terms of a con...
