In the present paper we report first record of Brassy Chub Kyphosus vaigiensis (Quoy and Giamard, 1825) from Mediterranean coast Libya. It is assumed that this species arrived into Red Sea via Suez Canal. We stress need taxonomic study on genus in Mediterranean.
