Population norms for Health Related Quality of Life using SF-36 are described. A national sample was canvassed in 2000 using a self-administered SF-36 in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Response rate was 30.6%, with 3072 usable data. Male: Female ratio was 1.04 and mean age was 39.8 years. Quality of life was affected by age and sex. Older population and women had a poorer quality of life. Populat...

Novel Brain Arteriovenous Malformation Mouse Models for Type 1 Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia
Endoglin (ENG) is a causative gene of type 1 hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT1). HHT1 patients have a higher prevalence of brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) than the general population and patients with other HHT subtypes. The pathogenesis of brain AVM in HHT1 patients is currently unknown and no specific medical therapy is available to treat patients. Proper animal models are cr...

abstract background: assessment of developmental skills is one of the most essential components of children’s health evaluation. since several pubertal disorders are caused by parental negligence in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of childhood problems, failure to make a timely diagnosis of these problems could have adverse effects on the health of children in future. this study was conduc...
This paper is concerned with studying the relaxed gradient-based iterative method based on tensor format to solve Sylvester equation. From information given by previous steps, we further develop a modified which converges faster than above. Under some suitable conditions, prove that introduced methods are convergent unique solution for any initial tensor. At last, provide numerical examples sho...

Elevated levels of a circulating form of the transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) coreceptor endoglin correlate with poor clinical outcome in different types of cancer. Soluble endoglin (Sol-Eng) is primarily produced by cleavage of cell-surface endoglin by the transmembrane metalloprotease MMP14 that releases most of its extracellular domain. Sol-Eng has been found to contribute to different c...
