Conventional GM(1, 1|α) prediction always produces the huge singleton residual error around the turning point region of a time series and this phenomenon is called overshooting. A novel forecasting technique using a hybrid BPNN-weighted Grey-CLSP (BWGC) prediction that employs a back-propagation neural net (BPNN) to automatically adjust a linear combination of GM(1, 1|α) prediction and the cumu...

BACKGROUND Prior studies have independently reported associations between major depressive disorder (MDD), elevated cortisol concentrations, early adverse events and region-specific decreases in grey matter volume, but the relationships among these variables are unclear. In the present study, we sought to evaluate the relationships between grey matter volume, early adverse events and cortisol l...

Neuro-axonal degeneration occurs progressively from the onset of multiple sclerosis and is thought to be a significant cause of increasing clinical disability. Several histopathological studies of multiple sclerosis and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis have shown that the accumulation of sodium in axons can promote reverse action of the sodium/calcium exchanger that, in turn, leads to ...

in the present work, a simple and sensitive method was developed for determination of morphine and heroin using gold nanoparticles as resonance rayleigh scattering (rrs) and colorimetric technique’s probe. synthesized gold nanoparticles by sodium citrate reduction method have a negative charge layer on their surfaces because of self-assembled citrate anions on their surface. binding of morphin...

a weighted linear regression model with impercise response and p-real explanatory variables is analyzed. the lr fuzzy random variable is introduced and a metric is suggested for coping with this kind of variables. a least square solution for estimating the parameters of the model is derived. the result are illustrated by the means of some case studies.

Why only certain patients develop debilitating pain after spinal chord injury and whether structural brain changes are implicated remain unknown. The aim of this study was to determine if patients with chronic, neuropathic below-level pain have specific cerebral changes compared to those who remain pain-free. Voxel-based morphometry of high resolution, T1-weighted images was performed on three ...

If there are grey variables in the constraint conditions in uncertain programming, the programming is called grey chance constrained programming. In this paper we provide the concept of grey chance constrained programming. When the whitenization weight functions of grey variables are known and the distribution functions are constructed, we studied the certainty equivalence solution of grey chan...

Cerebellar dysfunction has been proposed to lead to "cognitive dysmetria" in schizophrenia via the cortico-cerebellar-thalamic-cortical circuit, contributing to a range of cognitive and clinical symptoms of the disorder. Here we investigated total cerebellar grey and white matter volumes and cerebellar regional grey matter abnormalities in 13 remitted first-episode schizophrenia patients with l...

In view of the characteristics of multi-objective and uncertainty and complexity of the water resources allocation, the optimization of water resources allocation schemes can be regarded as a multi-objective grey relational decision-making procedure. This paper, integrating the grey relational decision-making method and the evidence theory, researches on the optimization method of allocation sc...

AIMS To determine if verbal learning and memory requiring acquisition and retention of information is differentially affected by lead exposure. METHODS The Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT), a test of verbal learning and memory, was administered to 256 English speaking lead smelter workers who had a mean (SD) age of 41 (9.4) years and employment duration of 17 (8.1) years. Lead exposu...
