We consider the interaction of free-stream disturbances with the leading edge of a body and its effect on the transition point. We present a method which combines an asymptotic receptivity approach, and a numerical method which marches through the Orr-Sommerfeld region. The asymptotic receptivity analysis produces a three deck eigensolution which in its far downstream limiting form, produces an...

here, a predator-prey model with hassell-varley type functional responses is studied. some sufficient conditions are obtained for the permanence and global asymptotic stability of the system by using comparison theorem and constructing a suitable lyapunov functional. moreover, an example is illustrated to verify the results by simulation.

This paper presents a mathematical approach to properly account for uncertainty in wind resource assessment and wind energy production estimation. The evaluation of a wind resource and the subsequent estimation of the annual energy production (AEP) is a highly uncertain process. Uncertainty arises at all points in the process, from measuring the wind speed to the uncertainty in a power curve. A...

the asymptotic behaviour of the sequence with general term $p_n=(varphi(1)+varphi(2)+cdots+varphi(n))/(1+2+cdots+n)$, is studied which appears in the studying of coprime integers, and an explicit bound for the difference $p_n-6/pi^2$ is found.

in this paper we consider a petrovsky viscoelastic inverse source problem with memory term in the boundary condition. we obtain sufficient conditions on relaxation function and initial data for which the solutions of problem are asymptotically stable when the integral overdetermination tends to zero as time goes to infinity.

Abstract. We study zero-sum stochastic differential games with player dynamics governed by a nondegenerate controlled diffusion process. Under the assumption of uniform stability, we establish the existence of a solution to the Isaac’s equation for the ergodic game and characterize the optimal stationary strategies. The data is not assumed to be bounded, nor do we assume geometric ergodicity. T...

Watson’s lemma dates from at latest [Watson 1918a], and Laplace’s method at latest from [Laplace...

A numerical order verification technique is applied to demonstrate that the asymptotic expansions of solutions of the Duffing equation obtained respectively by the Lindstedt-Poincaré(LP) method and the modified Lindstedt-Poincaré(MLP) method are uniformly valid for small parameter values. A numerical comparison of error shows that the MLP method is valid whereas the LP method is invalid for lar...
