We consider a massive Rarita-Schwinger field on the Anti-de Sitter space and solve the corresponding equations of motion. We show that appropriate boundary terms calculated on-shell give two-point correlation functions for spin-3/2 fields of the conformal field theory on the boundary. The relation between Rarita-Schwinger field masses and conformal dimensions of corresponding operators is estab...

We calculate all the four-photon helicity amplitudes at the one-loop level in a massive theory using multiple-cut methods. The amplitudes are derived in scalar QED, QED and QED theories. We will see the origin of rational terms. We extend the calculation to the simplest six-photon helicity amplitude where all photons have the same helicity.

Abstract. In this paper, the global existence of smooth solutions for the three-dimensional (3D) non-isentropic bipolar hydrodynamic model is showed when the initial data are close to a constant state. This system takes the form of non-isentropic Euler–Poisson with electric field and frictional damping added to the momentum equations. Moreover, the L-decay rate of the solutions is also obtained...

BACKGROUND In this article, we discuss the purpose of sample size calculation in clinical trials, the need for it, and the methods by which it is accomplished. Study samples that are either too small or too large are unacceptable, for clinical, methodological, and ethical reasons. The physicians participating in clinical trials should be directly involved in sample size planning, because their ...

We show how to calculate the one-loop scattering amplitude with all gluons of negative helicity in non-supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory using MHV diagrams. We argue that the amplitude with all positive helicity gluons arises from a Jacobian which occurs when one performs a Bäcklund-type holomorphic change of variables in the lightcone Yang-Mills Lagrangian. This also results in contributions to...

BACKGROUND Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are hyperactive and impulsive, cannot maintain attention, and have difficulties with social interactions. Medical treatment may alleviate symptoms of ADHD, but seldom solves difficulties with social interactions. Social-skills training may benefit ADHD children in their social interactions. We want to examine the effects o...

Using data from the FOCUS (E831) experiment at Fermilab, we present a new measurement for the branching ratios of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay modesD0 → π−π+ and D0 → K−K+. We measured: Γ(D0 → K−K+)/Γ(D0 → π−π+) = 2.81 ± 0.10(stat) ± 0.06(syst), Γ(D0 → K−K+)/Γ(D0 → K−π+) = 0.0993 ± 0.0014(stat) ± 0.0014(syst), and Γ(D0 → π−π+)/Γ(D0 → K−π+) = 0.0353 ± 0.0012(stat) ± 0.0006(syst). These values ha...

BACKGROUND In healthcare research, outcomes with skewed probability distributions are common. Sample size calculations for such outcomes are typically based on estimates on a transformed scale (e.g. log) which may sometimes be difficult to obtain. In contrast, estimates of median and variance on the untransformed scale are generally easier to pre-specify. The aim of this paper is to describe ho...

In this letter the boundary problem for massless and massive Rarita-Schwinger field in the AdS/CFT correspondence is considered. The considerations are along the lines of a paper by Henneaux [24] and are based on the requirement the solutions to be a stationary point for the action functional. It is shown that this requirement, along with a definite asymptotic behavior of the solutions, fixes t...

BACKGROUND A trial was commissioned to evaluate the effectiveness of larval therapy to debride and heal sloughy and necrotic venous leg ulcers. Larval therapy in the trial was to be delivered in either loose or bagged form. Researchers were concerned that resistance to larval therapy may threaten the feasibility of the trial. Additionally there was concern that the use of larval therapy may req...
