In this study, we investigate some approximation properties of a class the Kantorovich type operators including Charlier polynomials studied in Varma & Taşdelen (2012). We examine order convergence with aid mathematical tools such as usual modulus continuity and concept K-functional, derive an asymptotic formula using Voronovskaja theorem.

A new approach to Poisson approximation is proposed. The basic idea is very simple and based on properties of the Charlier polynomials and the Parseval identity.
